Getting Started

How do I add a contact? Tap the + button on the People tab, choose Personal or Business, and fill in the details.

What’s the difference between Personal and Business contacts? Personal contacts focus on relationships, family, and interests. Business contacts include company, title, and professional details.

Do I need to create an account? No. You can use Remember Who entirely offline with local storage. Cloud backup is optional.

Cloud & Backup

How do I enable cloud backup? Go to Settings → Account & Backup → Sign In / Create Account. You can sign in with email and password. Your data will sync automatically once signed in.

Is my data encrypted? Yes. All sensitive data is encrypted on your device using AES-256 encryption and during transfer to our servers via TLS.

Can I use the app on multiple devices? Yes, with cloud backup enabled, your data syncs across all your devices.

Features

How do voice notes work? Tap the microphone icon on a contact to record a voice note. Transcription can run on-device (free, using Whisper) or via cloud (requires OpenAI API key). This is a Pro feature.

How do I scan a business card? When adding or editing a contact, use the business card scanner to photograph a card. The app extracts name, phone, email, company, and title automatically using on-device OCR. This is a Pro feature.

How does Calendar Prep work? Connect your Google, Outlook, or Apple calendar in Settings. The app matches meeting attendees to your contacts and shows preparation cards before upcoming meetings. This is a Pro feature.

How do location reminders work? Add a location to a contact via the Map tab or the contact’s detail page, enable geo-reminders in Settings, and you’ll get notified when you’re nearby.

Can I import contacts from my phone? Yes. When adding a new contact, tap “Import from Phone” to open the native contact picker and select a contact.

How do I scan a QR code? Go to Settings → My Card → Scan Their Card, or use the QR scanner from the new contact screen.

Account & Data

How do I delete my account? Go to Settings → Account & Backup → Delete Account. See our deletion page for details.

How do I export my data? Go to Settings → Data & About → Export Data to download a copy of all your information.

I forgot my password On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot Password?” and enter your email. You’ll receive a link to reset your password.
